Six-Year Appointments

Sweet Pea and Little Man had their annual checkups today (better late than never) and there were a few surprises.

Little Man is slimming down -- his weight is 39 pounds, 9 ounces (only 12th percentile) and his height is 44 inches (21st percentile). His growth has slowed quite a bit these last two years, compared to being in the 40th percentiles when he was 4.

Sweet Pea is 37 pounds, 9 ounces, which is 9th percentile -- up from the 5th percentile last year. And shockingly, she's only 2 pounds lighter than Little Man! For years, she has maintained a very consistent 5-pound difference, but she's starting to catch up a bit. She's 43 inches tall (9th percentile), which is fairly normal for her.

But despite their diminutive size (hey, MJ and I are not huge people), they are healthy and strong, which is the only thing that matters. Although the pediatrician would probably have preferred if Little Man wasn't quite so ticklish: she had to bring in two extra people to hold down his arms and legs so she could complete his exam!
