Camping and Boating

It was Sweet Pea's turn to go camping with Daddy and Pepere last weekend! She couldn't wait to go. And this time, we decided to do it in our neck of the woods.

They set up their tents, built a campfire, grilled hot dogs and burgers for dinner, made s'mores, read a special camping book, played Camping Bingo, had a scavenger hunt, and stayed up way too late. But they had fun, and that's the most important part!

The first night, while they were eating, Sweet Pea got really excited to realize she had a loose tooth -- her first wibbly wobbly tooth! She's been wanting a loose tooth for months now, complaining that she's the last Morrison kid to lose a tooth. Well, it was finally her turn. MJ reports that she went into the tent and came out 10 minutes later with a bloody paper towel and the tooth. This girl, I tell you. She's quietly unstoppable.

The next day, Memere and I and CC and Little Man met them to boat on the lake. Unfortunately it was chilly -- no tubing or swimming this time. But we still had a good time, and the kids all had long turns driving the boat.

When Sweet Pea returned home with MJ and Pepere on Sunday morning, Little Man ran up to hug her and yelled, "SWEET PEA, I MISSED YOU!" Heart. Melting.
