Recognizing Sweet Pea

Sweet Pea has been excelling at school so far. Almost every day, she comes home with the daily character award, which is given to the student in the class who behaved the best. 

"It's not fair!" complained Little Man. "She's gotten eleven awards so far, and I've only gotten two!"

"Well, if you behave better than she does, you'll get more!" we told him. 

So I wasn't surprised when their teacher e-mailed to say that Sweet Pea would be recognized at the school-wide monthly assembly for being especially "principled." I showed up with camera in hand to congratulate her!

The back of the awards says. "Sweet Pea always makes good choices. She is honest and is a good friend to all her classmates. She is a wonderful role model for all!"

Sweet Pea was thrilled! And we were so proud of her. This one, I tell you. She will quietly take over the world someday!
