Second Christmas

By the looks of this picture, you'd think it was taken on Christmas Eve. But no, it was our family room yesterday. Christmas Take Two: presents from my side of the family. Very quickly, the scene happily turned into this:

Little Man got the Lego Fire Mech that he's always wanted for, like, two years. CC got a Hatchimal, which turned out to be a girl owl-type creature, and she's in love. There were remote-control cars, more Legos, games, books, dolls, and more.

And the cousins had a ball. There was much Nerf gun fighting and Wii playing. Sweet Pea's version of boxing involves a lot of hips and is hilarious.

Dane had prepared several Christmas carols on the piano, and of course my kids had to follow suit, so there was an adorable concert with lots of singing. And mistakes.

Last but not least, we celebrated Pepere's birthday. What a day!

We dragged everyone outside for some pictures (of course). But the most important part was that we were together. And we ate and drank and laughed and delighted in being together.
