Happy Easter!

The great gift of Easter is hope.
- Basil Cardinal Hume

Our second Easter in Corona lockdown was just as beautiful as last year's, despite not being with family or friends. We made the most of the situation, and continued to count down the days until we can all socialize normally again. The end is in sight!

Our day was quiet but so precious. The kids enjoyed their Easter treats (towels, sandals, water bottles, candy), and we opened the final Resurrection Egg (it was empty, like the tomb!). Grandma left Easter goodies on our front porch. And we taught the kids how to play poker (why not?).

Dinner was a delicious Easter Pie, finished by a strawberry cake that the kids helped me make yesterday. The cake was a bit of a miracle itself: it turned out all right despite us forgetting to add the dry ingredients until the very end, and accidentally turning the oven off halfway through the cooking time. Hallelujah!
