Horseback Riding

CC has been pestering me to take her horseback riding for a month now, especially since we didn't do it over the summer. So this week, when the kids had a day off school, we headed to a barn nearby.

It's the same barn we visited three years ago, when CC completely freaked out and shrieked in terror the entire time. Fortunately we didn't relive that experience! Little Man opted not to come, but the girls had no fears whatsoever and hopped right up on their horses.

CC rode Billy Jack (again), and Sweet Pea rode Ginger. Both horses behaved perfectly, and despite the rain, the girls had fun learning a little about controlling the horse, and then going on a trail ride. But next time, we decided they should have a lesson instead!
