Little Man has started his second baseball season of the year: fall ball! Now that he's considered a 10-year-old by Little League standards, he's playing on a "kid pitch" team: no more batting machine. And it's a much higher level of play. He's been holding his own and enjoying it, though. And to our surprise, he's been playing in the actual Little League stadium.

He mostly plays left field, and he is a good outfielder: always paying attention, running quickly to scoop up the ball, and throwing it pretty accurately to the infield. He has also taken some turns at 3rd base, which is exciting -- there's more to do in the infield, more chances to make outs.

He got his first hit this past week: an RBI single. And once he was on base, his speed allowed him to score pretty easily on the next hit.
He has quite a cheering section in the stands: CC, Sweet Pea, MJ and I, plus Grandma and Grandpa. It's so enjoyable, now that the weather is cooling, and we have "real" seats!
