Pumpkin Patch

After we lost a teacher and a coach, and our football teams lost games, we needed a fun outing. MJ had to work, but I took the kids to a nearby farm to enjoy a gorgeous fall day, stretch our legs, and pick out some pumpkins.

It might look like they were very cooperative about having their picture taken, but that's definitely not the case. They're getting pretty difficult about posing and smiling nicely. Today's pictures are brought to you by the promise of milkshakes on the way home!

There were tons of things to climb, giant tube slides, a hayride, and fields of pumpkins to scour for future jack o'lanterns.

Unfortunately, most of the pumpkins were cracked or rotten. Sweet Pea and Little Man found contenders, but CC -- who had her heart set on a small pumpkin -- didn't have any luck. I reassured her that we could just buy one at the grocery store.
