Our school has started allowing parents limited access into the school building, but not into the classrooms. Volunteering is limited to behind-the-scenes work, like making copies for the teachers or decorating bulletin boards. So this week when the students had a day off, parents were able to sign up for times to come in and have the kids give us a tour of their day.
We started in CC's homeroom class, and I was finally able to get a picture of her with her new teacher! We saw her desk, all the details of the classroom, and did a few activities.
Then we visited the library, and the Spanish, Music, STEAM, Art, and Honors classrooms. We stopped by the gym to shoot some baskets and scoot around on roller boards with the PE teacher. Sweet Pea showed us one of her pieces of art that's displayed in the hall.
Little Man -- fresh out of quarantine -- demonstrated where his and Sweet Pea's class eats in the Cougar Cafe.
Then we headed to Sweet Pea and Little Man's homeroom class, where we saw their desks and played a math dice game their teacher had waiting for us.
It was out of this world!
