Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was quiet this year, but nice. Pepere stayed with us, and he and I went to Mass that morning, which was a nice way to start the day. Patrick and Karen came over with the boys later, and we also brought Brien over. He loved being with us and sharing the holiday with a full house of people. I was also happy to introduce him to my side of the family, who have heard so much about him over the years.

CC made a neckerchief for Amber to wear, with some fall fabric she had on hand. Recently her Apparel teacher cleaned out her storeroom of fabric, and allowed the students to take whatever they wanted. Over the course of several days, CC came home with enough bolts of fabric to last a lifetime!

As always, we celebrated Bryson and Braxton's birthdays -- they are 14 and 12 now! So in addition to pies, we had a cookie cake that was happily gobbled up by the kids.

Grandpa and Grandma joined us for dessert, which made our day complete.

The next few days were nice but calm. We played a ton of games, and Pepere treated us all to a movie (Sarah's Oil, which was very good!).
