But I'm happy to announce that Belly Watch 2011 is over! After 85% of my pregnancy went without anyone appearing to notice, this week two strangers commented on it. The first was a hairstylist on Friday, who had never met me before. She was washing my hair when she casually asked, "So when is your baby due?"
The second was the cashier at a gas station today, who didn't speak much English, but kept smiling and saying "Baby!" while patting his stomach and pointing at me.
So it's official! With just six weeks to go, my pregnancy is finally obvious enough that strangers are commenting on it. It's a great feeling to walk around, knowing everyone can tell what a wondrous thing is happening inside me!
