Kids' Museum

We took the kids to a nearby museum on Valentine's Day. We'd heard great things about it, but had never been there before. So since the roofers would be hammering away on our house all day, we decided it was the perfect day to go see the museum for ourselves.

Not surprisingly, the kids loved it. They're already asking when we can go back again!

Sweet Pea and CC sat in seats that were built into a water table, and splashed around:

CC practiced her balancing skills while clinging to MJ's hand:

While Sweet Pea and Little Man preferred to do it themselves, on a lower beam:

Little Man enjoyed the tractors and trucks:

While the girls drove the speedboat:

Sweet Pea in particular liked the boat, and would have stayed there all day!

MJ helped Little Man scale the rock wall:

And CC drove a bright red Mustang (just like Mommy used to!):

(This display was actually pretty neat. It was a bank drive-thru, so CC could put the canister into the machine, press the button, and watch it go through the tube into the "bank" on the other side of the window. There, another child could retrieve the canister, open the safe, stamp paperwork, and send the canister back to CC.)

The kids also enjoyed shopping at a grocery store, working at a restaurant, exploring under the sea, and climbing in a life-sized hamster maze. We didn't even make it to the second floor! We'll explore more of the museum the next time we go, but for now, MJ and I are exhausted.
