Easter Egg Hunt

Last weekend our neighborhood hosted its annual Easter Egg Hunt. Full of anticipation, I took the kids' Easter baskets out of storage and counted down the days.

The girls had a blast. Sweet Pea, especially, was off like a shot and hunting eggs like a pro.

CC hunted more carefully, and discovered several large stashes of eggs that filled her basket quickly.

Little Man, for reasons unknown, wanted nothing to do with it. He screamed the whole walk there. I was sure that once he saw all his neighborhood friends, and all the eggs scattered across the lawns, that he would come around.

No.

Notice Sweet Pea sprinting by in the background!

He spent the whole time crying in my arms, saying, "I want to go back inside," over and over again. What kid doesn't like an Easter egg hunt, for goodness' sake?! Little Man, I don't know what I'm going to do with you.

Guess which basket was Little Man's?

He grudgingly accepted some candy afterwards, but still wore a scowl.

Fortunately he didn't affect the girls' enjoyment of the hunt, and they headed home in high spirits.

We have another egg hunt next weekend. Hopefully Little Man will be in a better mood!
