Fall Visitors

Last week we were happy to welcome MJ's Aunt Maripat and Uncle John for another visit. Even cousin Shannon flew up from the Dominican Republic! And over the weekend we had Brien down to visit too. So it was a full house, but oh so happy.

I was very pleased to see the kids interact with Brien more than in the past. They kept asking him what he wanted for dinner (so they could "cook" it for him in their toy grill). And there were plenty of hugs each night at bedtime.

Shannon and Maripat are both adept french-braiders (which I am not). CC enjoyed getting her hair done "fancy" every day.

And then, of course, she returned the favor. (Cheers to Shannon for being brave enough to let a 4-year-old play with her hair!)

CC promptly fell in love with Shannon. For the rest of the visit, she had to hold Shannon's hand; Shannon had to put her to bed at night; she had to sit next to Shannon for every meal. It was adorable.

And despite being rained out (again!!) on Saturday, we had a great time at the local science museum.

A week flew by in a flash, and then it was time to say good bye. Hopefully we'll see them again soon!
