Beach Part I

Morrison Beach Vacation 2016 is in the books, and it was a good one! We went with Tom and Carol and their three kids, and the 6 of us squeezed into a 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom house. I'm happy to report that we are all still friends.

Like last year, the Morrison clan spent a lot of time doing things other than sitting in the sand. But the extra-curricular activities will be in a different post. This one is all about the BEACH.

Tommy and Patrick loved playing in the waves, but Little Man would only get this close if he was up on MJ's shoulders.

I love these three pictures: watch Little Man. Ha!

And hey, we got a picture of all 6 kids, looking up and smiling! It's a beach miracle!

We went shell-hunting in our pajamas early one morning:

We built a cool sea turtle out of sand (which the kids immediately destroyed after I took a picture).

We flew a kite for the first time, which was a hit. We actually ended up flying two kites, because our first was ripped away by the strong winds and landed atop a large building nearby. So off I went to a kite store nearby to buy another one.

Sweet Pea and CC played very nicely with Kaya, who is a year younger than our twins.

This was as close as we could get to a family picture on the first day. The girls wouldn't get this close to the water even if I was holding them!

It's a wrap! And it was worth more than words that MJ and I really got to know Tom and Carol's kids, and vice versa. And it goes without saying that we loved spending a week with our good friends! Each couple even got a date night during the week.
