Army @ Ohio State

Last weekend, rather last-minute, we snatched up some tickets to the Army game at Ohio State, packed up the kids and the car, and headed out of town. Neither Army nor Notre Dame play Ohio State regularly, so Matt and I had never been to a game at the Horseshoe before. A fun trip and a new experience to boot!

It was a lot of driving over three days, but the kids were pretty good in the car (thank you, Disney). We arrived late Saturday morning, and had plenty of time to see the sights and tailgate before the game.

The kids got a ton of attention, looking so adorable in their Army gear. They sang On, Brave Old Army Team for anyone who would listen. And MJ and I were treated to plenty of handshakes and thanks for our military service.

Even Ohio State Santa told us he was secretly rooting for Army. Alas, we did not defeat Goliath, despite the kids' most fervent hopes. And as MJ said, "The only thing Ohio State has going for them is that they're better at every single position than we are!"
