Last weekend we had a blast with some ND Law School friends! Ted and Sarah came into town with their son Owen, who is the same age as Sweet Pea and Little Man, and we had a great time together.
Friday night we went out with another NDLS family, and had a mini reunion. It's so strange to think of all that's happened since graduation: two weddings, seven kids, multiple houses and jobs ...
The next morning we went to a festival that involved (very elaborate) face paint, appearances by Piggie and Gerald (some of our favorite book characters), and a kids' concert that was fun for the adults, too.
Little Man wanted nothing to do with face paint, but he couldn't stop laughing when he met Piggie.
The only bad part of the festival, according to Sweet Pea, was the appearance of a local sports mascot, who sent her running for cover behind the building.
The rest of the weekend was filled with incredible football (a phenomenal win by Army over Air Force, followed by a Notre Dame win) and hanging-out time.
Thank goodness for good friends!
