And ended with a flat tire on the side of the road. Fortunately, both things are fixable. A new tree stand will be here on Thursday, and four new tires will be here by Friday.
And hey, it was kind of fun teaching Sweet Pea and Little Man how to change a tire. They loved helping (especially cars-obsessed Sweet Pea), and it was funny to see the awe on their faces as the car lifted with the jack.
Thank you, God, that the weather was fine, and that I didn't have any pressing concerns at the time. I even had time to drive to Costco all the way to the other side of town afterwards to order new tires before picking CC up from school. And thank you for all the strangers who offered to help -- I didn't take them up on it, but it was nice to know that help was available if I'd needed it.
