MJ IS 40!!

Happy BIG birthday to MJ, my partner in crime, the peanut butter to our kids' jelly. We love you!

We started the big day by having a party for him. And since Daddy is not a huge fan of cake, we put candles into two Hostess fruit pies -- one of his childhood favorites. 

And then it was time for presents! The kids were excited to have MJ open the gifts they so carefully selected and wrapped. Little Man gave him a Star Wars coffee mug; Sweet Pea gave him a gigantic container of Jelly Belly beans; and CC gave him fun socks: one American flag pair and two Star Wars pairs.

Tonight we have a lot on our schedule: all the first graders from CC's school have a singing performance. But MJ and I will definitely take time to celebrate and have a nice dinner together.

In the meantime, we're showing this guy some extra love today!
