Ballet Recital

Last weekend was CC's ballet recital, and it was another beautiful affair. She revels in the sequins, tulle, hair buns, music and makeup. Not to mention the attention of all her adoring fans! This year she even hand-wrote invitations for her two favorite teachers at school.

They danced to "The Garland Waltz" from Sleeping Beauty. Unfortunately my video cut out in the last few seconds, but it ended like this:

If CC is to be believed, this was her final recital, because she swears she's switching to gymnastics from now on. I have a hard time seeing that happening long-term, because the pageantry and costumes associated with ballet recitals are exactly her cup of tea. But who knows? Maybe CC will find her true calling next year on the tumbling mats.
