Happy Thanksgiving!

Originally my side of the family was scheduled to get together at my parents' house for Thanksgiving, but because MJ can't travel right now, everyone changed plans and came here for the holiday.

Everyone, that is, except for Patrick, Karen, Bryson and Braxton. They have been felled by a stomach bug, on top of Karen having a fractured toe. We missed them, but thanks mainly to my mom's planned activities and all the food she and Susan brought over, we had a very low-maintenance and fun Thanksgiving.

Two of the cute activities my mom brought were little candy turkeys, and dinosaur eggs to excavate. Both were adorable and entertained the kids for quite a while.

Everyone wrote what they were most thankful for on wooden discs, and we hung them on some branches to make a nice centerpiece. Little Man was thankful for "famole." Hayden was thankful for "mi cousin(s)." CC was thankful for shelter, and the rest of us shared thanks for family, food, friends, and the USA.

We put a large box on the table and covered it with a fancy tablecloth to make a tall place setting for MJ, so he could stand comfortably at the table for our feast. Please continue to send prayers his way -- he is scheduled for an epidural steroid injection on Monday and we're hopeful it will lead to some relief from his pain.
