Veterans' Day

It's a special day of the year for us: not only are MJ and I both Army veterans, but we both come from families with histories of military service. My dad and grandfather, MJ's dad and grandfather, and both my brothers. Happy Veteran's Day to all of them, and God bless America!

Little Man came up with a good idea: having red, white and blue pancakes for breakfast to commemorate the occasion.

On a different note: please say a prayer or two for MJ. His back -- which he's had issues with since he was active duty -- has flared up worse than ever before. He is virtually housebound, unable to sit, drive or ride in a car, dress himself or sleep comfortably. He is in chronic, terrible pain. Our lives have ground to a halt while we hope and pray for relief for him.
