Over the weekend, Sweet Pea and CC spent a considerable amount of time creating and writing books. Topics included princesses, items they love, and even a "search and find" book. Afterwards, they fabricated a sales stand out of a Target box, set it up on the driveway, and sold them for $1 each. They cleaned up! They sold out of their first set within 15 minutes, went inside to make more, and sold those too.

With $11 in hand, we had a lesson on money. They had each earned $5.50. So they put $3 into their bank accounts, gave 50 cents each to Little Man so he'd have a dollar too, and then we took a trip to their favorite store -- Dollar Tree.

I was proud of their generosity with Little Man (I didn't ask them to give him anything). But I was even more proud of how hard they worked on their books and selling them!
