Well, two of the three kids have new bikes, anyway. CC wasn't satisfied with the selection, so she exercised her right to wait and shop again in a few weeks, when the inventory will be different.
But Sweet Pea and Little Man fell in love with these bikes at first sight, and made their final decisions almost before even riding them! Fortunately, both bikes fit them well (despite Sweet Pea's being 20" and Little Man's being 24"). And both bikes have gears!
CC rode several 24" bikes and decided that's definitely the size for her -- she refused to even try any of the 20" bikes. Her bike has to have curved handlebars, a slanted cross bar, and be "a bike I can see myself loving for years." Hopefully it won't be too long before she has one she's excited about, too!
Thank you so much, Grandma and Grandpa! Bikes were the perfect Christmas gifts.
