All three kids decided to participate in the school science fair for the first time this year. Since they can't set up their displays in the gym as usual, everything was done virtually: the kids did their experiments, created their display boards, then recorded a video of their project. Each day, the school broadcasts one of the videos on the morning news.
CC was first, with her Balloon Rocket project. She tested the aerodynamics of different shapes of balloons. We set up a fishing-wire course upstairs in our hallway, and taped various balloons to straws on the wire. CC measured how far each shape of balloon went once she released the end.
She had a great time, and I'm pretty sure she'll be doing another science fair project next year!
