CC finally found a bike worth waiting for! We have been keeping an eye on the bike inventory at a local shop, and this week they've advertised a pink 24" bike with gears. CC was hooked, and off we went to meet Grandma and Grandpa there.
It was cute, and CC rode it well around the little parking lot. But -- reasonably -- she asked if there were any other 24" bikes for her to try, and whoa! The attendant brought out a turquoise bike that hadn't even been listed online!
CC immediately fell in love, and that was the end of that. We loaded it up in Grandma's car and headed home.
"After all, Mommy," she told me, "This is a much more grown-up bike. I'm almost done with pink as my favorite color."
And Little Man got a new helmet that he picked out himself. (His old one got run over by a dad who shall remain nameless ...)
Our new bike adventures are complete! We have three very happy kids, with new bikes that will last them for a long time.
