Valentine's Day

It was a quiet but lovely holiday here! CC was still at Memere and Pepere's house, so we missed having her to celebrate with, but we were confident that her day would be filled with love and special treats, too.

We started off with pink heart-shaped, chocolate-chip pancakes for breakfast. Obviously.

The boys surprised me and Sweet Pea with beautiful roses.

Because they won't have a typical Valentine's party at school, the kids did a mailbox valentines exchange with their friends in the neighborhood, and then had a group Zoom to open them all up "together." Sweet Pea gave out little squishies; Little Man did whoopie cushions (a huge hit, naturally); and CC actually sewed together little felt pouches with buttons to give everyone.

MJ and I gave the kids some cookies to paint with edible paint -- a fun project! And CC did hers at Memere and Pepere's house.

We had steak and lobster for dinner, and I treated everyone to "dessert charcuterie" afterwards!
