Fall Ball is over now, and Little Man had a pretty good time. The last half of the season, he usually got one legitimate hit each game, and in one amazing game, he went 2 for 2 and scored one of the team's only two runs.
I'm proud of him for sticking with a sport that's still fairly new to him, making new friends, learning the rules, and paying attention. He's turned into a better-than-average outfielder with a lot of hustle, and a heads-up base runner. (I love the face he makes when he runs.)
He had a big fan club at almost every game: me, MJ, Sweet Pea and CC, and Grandma and Grandpa, and sometimes Amber. Even Pepere was able to come for his last game of the season, to watch him score twice for his team.
But best of all, he considers himself a "baseball player," and has decided to play again in the spring. I hope he continues to love it!
