Our school's PTA put on a fun program for moms and sons this year -- Exploding Science! It wasn't all explosions (although the presenter did light several things on fire, and make a few loud BOOMs). But we made slime; touched a ton of animal furs, shells, and skeletons; pet a giant python; made "snow"; experimented with physics and momentum; and generally had a ball.
Next year he'll be in middle school, and they won't do fun events with parents anymore! I'll enjoy this as long as I can.
