The kids and I have been baking up a storm! We've tried several new recipes this year (Chocolate Crinkles, Grandma's Molasses Cookies, Red Velvet Sandwiches, and Caramel Apple Cookies), and thankfully I've had plenty of help mixing, rolling, chopping, and baking.
As always, everyone helped to decorate the cutout cookies.
We experimented with some new techniques, such as marbling the colors and "drawing" designs like a Santa hat and various sports logos.
(The kids enjoyed teasing me about the frosting, because last year I didn't think I needed to follow a recipe and it turned out to be so thick it was almost impossible to use. This year I definitely used a recipe!)
