Recently a Cirque du Soleil production came to town, and Joni's mom, Brynne, reached out to ask if we'd be interested in going with them. I decided it'd be a perfect birthday gift for Sweet Pea, so we bought tickets and made all the arrangements.
Sweet Pea has seen Cirque du Soleil twice before, but totally different productions, so this was new to her. And Joni had never seen them perform! But since the girls are so involved in their cirque studio, they were very excited to see professionals at work.
Joni and Sweet Pea even planned their outfits so they would "twin." We went to dinner at a British pub first, then headed to the show. The girls were awestruck! None of us really cared much for the slapstick comedy in between the scenes, but the actual cirque performances were amazing. At the end, all the performers came out, took off their masks, and waved at the crowds. We loved seeing their smiling faces!
