Due Date

Well, today was the day Otto was supposed to arrive, but here we sit, still waiting.  MJ and I spent the day doing some things that we won't be able to do once we have our little bundle of joy.  We went to the dog park with Rory, which involved watching her say hi to all the humans while simultaneously trying to avoid all the dogs.  Then we went to see a movie, The Lincoln Lawyer, which was entertaining but a little disorienting (the camera angles and movements were dizzying).

Meanwhile, this was my dinner tonight:

I've been telling MJ for weeks that if I make it to my due date before the birth, I am going to treat myself to a giant dessert for dinner.  I'm usually not all that big on sweets, but every once in a while I'm in the mood, and what better day than today?  So I perused the dessert offerings at all the big chain restaurants (Friday's, Chili's, Applebee's, Ruby Tuesday, Outback, etc) and decided on Ruby Tuesday's Blondie for Two.  Although this particular dish was only for one!

Interesting fact of the day:  a 40-week pregnant woman can, in fact, scoot across the front seat of a car from the shotgun seat to the driver's seat, when her husband parks too close to the garage wall for her to get out.
