On Easter Monday, the five of us piled in the rental minivan and headed to visit my Pepere, who fortunately lives just a few hours from MJ's parents. I hadn't seen him in several years, and he had never met Little Man and Sweet Pea. I was thrilled to introduce him to the twins, show him how much CC has grown since he last saw her, and spend some time with him.
As an extra bonus, my cousins Kerri and Chris were able to join us.
It was a bittersweet visit, because unfortunately my Pepere wasn't feeling well. But just seeing him, having the kids spend a little time with their Great Pepere, and visiting with my cousins was enough to lighten my heart. Hopefully he'll be feeling better soon!
